When we understand series resonance, we will find that it has more advantages than traditional withstand voltage tests. Traditional pressure testing equipment is heavy. It requires more people to conduct testing and also consumes the energy of power testers. Compared with series resonance, it has a smaller volume and lighter weight. In the experiment, series resonance has more advantages than traditional withstand voltage testing equipment. It is easy to move and uses separation devices. During the experimental operation, the testing equipment can be flexibly used according to the testing requirements.
In addition to the above advantages, what are the advantages of series resonant equipment in withstand voltage testing?
(1) The power capacity required for series resonance is greatly reduced. In this testing device, due to the series resonant power supply, only a portion of the active power consumption in the system needs to be provided. Therefore, the power supply required for the testing equipment is only 1/q of the testing capacity (Q is the quality factor).
(2) The weight and volume of the series resonant device have been greatly reduced. Due to the elimination of bulky high-power regulators and commonly used high-power test transformers, the weight and volume of the entire series resonant power supply system are becoming smaller and lighter, greatly reducing the complex physical work of transformers. He was in the testing process with the electricity workers.
(3) Series resonance can effectively improve the output voltage waveform. Because the resonant power supply is a resonant filter circuit, it can improve the distortion of the output voltage waveform and obtain a good sine wave from it. Therefore, it can effectively prevent harmonic peaks from causing false breakdown of the tested product.
(4) Series resonance can prevent large short-circuit currents from burning the fault point, because in the resonance state, when the weak point of the insulation of the test object is damaged, the circuit will immediately lose resonance, that is, due to the change in capacitance, the loop current quickly decreases to 1/Q of the normal test current, and does not meet the resonance condition. When conducting AC withstand voltage tests using parallel resonant or traditional test transformers, the breakdown current immediately increases by several tens of times. Compared with the two methods, the short-circuit current is hundreds of times higher than the breakdown current. Therefore, series resonance can effectively detect insulation defects without the problem of large short-circuit current burning fault points.
(5) Series resonance will not cause any recovery overvoltage. When the tested product passes through flashover, due to the loss of resonance conditions, the high voltage immediately disappears, the arc immediately extinguishes, and the protection circuit of the device works and cuts off the output. The safety factor has been significantly improved.
The above are the advantages of series resonance in withstand voltage testing. It is precisely because of these advantages of series resonance that it has become the favorite testing equipment for power workers.
