The testing items of the motor test bench are usually divided into three categories: safety performance testing, routine performance testing, and specialized testing. The testing items required for different application scenarios (research and development, factory production, maintenance) are emphasized.
1, Safety performance testing (mandatory for all motors)
Insulation resistance measurement: Check the insulation condition between the winding and the casing and between the windings to prevent leakage or breakdown.
DC resistance measurement: measure the DC resistance of three-phase windings, calculate the imbalance, determine the welding quality and inter turn short circuit.
Power frequency withstand voltage test: Apply a high voltage higher than the rated voltage to the motor to verify its insulation strength.
Interturn impulse withstand voltage test: Check whether the insulation between turns of the winding is good, and the peak voltage can reach tens of thousands of volts.
2, Routine performance testing
No load test: The motor runs idle at rated voltage, measures no-load current and no-load loss, and evaluates iron and mechanical losses.
Lock up test: Apply low voltage while the rotor is locked, measure the lock up current and torque, and evaluate the starting performance.
Load test: Simulate actual loads and measure key parameters such as efficiency, power factor, and speed.
Temperature rise test: Run continuously until thermal stability, monitor winding and bearing temperatures, evaluate heat dissipation design and insulation life.
3, Specialized testing (for specific types of motors)
Permanent magnet synchronous motor: back electromotive force test, demagnetization test, weak magnetic performance test, parameter identification.
Variable frequency motor: harmonic analysis, variable frequency characteristic testing, shaft voltage/current measurement.
DC motor: commutation performance test, speed regulation characteristic test.
