In their work, power workers often need to test the incoming lines of high-voltage power cables, identify the resonance points of the cables, and use a series resonance test device to achieve the desired effect of the instrument. This article briefly introduces several main reasons for measuring the resonance point of a series resonance test device.
(1) The device connection is incorrect. The series resonance test device mainly consists of four parts: the test host, excitation transformer, reactor, and voltage divider. The device must be connected to the tested cable. If the connection is incorrect, not only can the resonance point of the cable not be measured, but it is also very good. It is easy to affect the service life of the series resonance test device, and even burn out the equipment between them.
(2) The device usage method is incorrect. When using the series resonance testing equipment, it is necessary to strictly follow the specifications. Users can choose between manual testing and automatic testing. Regardless of the type of testing, the correct parameters must be set before the point testing, and then the steps must be taken step by step according to the correct procedures. If the testing steps are incorrect, it will be difficult to achieve testing accuracy.
(3) The equipment cannot isolate radiation factors. In the operating environment of the series resonance test device, strong electromagnetic radiation interference is often encountered. If these radiation interferences are not eliminated in advance, the radiation will have a significant impact on the accuracy of the equipment, making it difficult for the device to detect the results and the user will not know where it is. I took the wrong step and wasted valuable time.
When power workers use series resonance testing equipment, it is difficult to measure the resonance point without good wiring problems, method problems, external radiation problems, etc. Users need to pay attention to these issues.
