Transformer Tan Delta Tester

The transformer tan delta tester is an instrument used to detect the insulation performance of the transformer. It calculates the dielectric loss factor (tan δ) and capacitance value (C) by applying an AC voltage of a specific frequency and measuring the current response of the transformer insulation medium to determine the insulation condition of the transformer.

High-precision Measurement

Multi-frequency Measurement Capability
The transformer tan delta tester supports multiple measurement frequencies, including single-frequency measurement (45Hz, 50Hz, 55Hz, 60Hz, 65Hz) and automatic dual-frequency conversion measurement (45/55Hz, 55/65Hz, 47.5/52.5Hz). In contrast, most devices on the market only provide 50Hz and 60Hz measurement frequencies. By measuring at different frequencies, this tester can analyze the loss characteristics of the insulating medium under different working conditions and more accurately evaluate the insulation status.

Safety Protection Mechanism
The transformer tan delta tester is equipped with multiple safety protection mechanisms, including overvoltage protection (maximum withstand voltage 2000V), overcurrent protection (maximum 10A automatic disconnection) and grounding protection (grounding resistance <4Ω automatic alarm). Its built-in high-speed sampling circuit (sampling rate 10MSPS) can detect abnormalities within 10ms and cut off the high-voltage output, effectively preventing the safety of the equipment under test and operators.

3. CX Socket: The measurement input terminal for the test signal. In positive wiring, it is connected using a special low-voltage cable with a single-layer shield and a special alligator clip, which is attached to the low end of the test product. In reverse wiring, this terminal remains unconnected.
4. CN Socket: The measurement input terminal for an external standard capacitance signal. When using the internal standard, this terminal remains unconnected.
5. CVT Terminal: A dedicated terminal for measuring CVT, serving as the current output terminal in the self-excitation method.
6. Grounding Terminal: Must be connected to the ground using a grounding wire during testing.
7. Power Switch: Turns the device on and off.
8. Power Socket: The power input port, supporting AC 220V±10%, 50Hz, equipped with a safety compartment.
9. Key Area: Includes the buttons "Increase," "Decrease," "Function," and "Confirm."
10. Upgrade Debugging Interface: A dedicated port for firmware upgrades and debugging.
11. HV Socket: The high-voltage output terminal, connected via a high-voltage cable to the high-voltage end of the test product. Outputs a 10kV high voltage.
