1. Our device includes protection functions such as overvoltage, overcurrent, zero start, and system detuning (flashover). Overvoltage and overcurrent protection values can be set according to user requirements. In case of a test sample flashover, the flashover protection is activated to protect the equipment.

6. Our device adopts DSP platform technology, making it easy to add or remove functions and upgrade according to user needs, ensuring a more user-friendly human-machine interface.
7. The operating interface supports multiple languages and allows easy switching. The default languages are Chinese and English, with options for customization.
8. The system includes a built-in series resonance parameter calculator, enabling quick one-click calculations of inductance, capacitance, frequency, resonant high voltage current, and cable capacitance.

Variable frequency power supply: Converts a 220V/380V, 50Hz power supply into an adjustable frequency and continuously adjustable voltage while integrating operation, protection, control, and monitoring functions.
Excitation transformer: Boosts the voltage output by the variable frequency power supply while isolating high and low voltage.
High-voltage reactor: Forms a series resonance circuit with the capacitive test sample.
Voltage divider: Measures the high-voltage and low-voltage values of the regulator.

Advantages of Series Resonance in Power Systems
Significant reduction in required power capacity
The series resonant power supply generates high voltage and high current through resonance between the resonant reactor and the test capacitor. The power supply only needs to provide the active power consumption of the system. The required power supply for the test is only 1/Q of the total test capacity.
Lighter and more compact equipment
The series resonant power supply eliminates the need for bulky high-power voltage regulators and conventional high-power test transformers. Additionally, the resonant excitation power supply requires only 1/Q of the test capacity, reducing system weight and volume to about 1/10 to 1/30 of conventional test devices.
Improved output voltage waveform
As a resonant filtering circuit, the device reduces waveform distortion, ensuring a pure sine waveform and preventing test sample breakdown due to harmonic peaks.
Prevents excessive short-circuit currents
In the event of a breakdown, the circuit immediately loses resonance, and the loop current rapidly decreases to 1/Q of the normal test current. Compared to other methods, series resonance significantly reduces short-circuit and breakdown current, effectively identifying insulation weaknesses without damaging the fault point.
No risk of overvoltage recovery
If the test sample fails, the resonance conditions are lost, causing the high voltage to immediately disappear and the arc to extinguish. Since the recovery voltage builds up slowly, it is easy to disconnect the power supply before reaching the flashover voltage again.

Resonance Testing Process
Frequency Scanning: The device scans a range of frequencies, applying excitation at each step. The scan typically starts from a low frequency and increases, but more complex scans may be used.
Response Measurement: As the frequency changes, the system’s response (amplitude, impedance, etc.) is measured. The results are displayed in a chart showing amplitude at each frequency.
Identifying Resonance: The resonance point is identified when the system’s response reaches its maximum amplitude, indicating the strongest vibration.
Analysis: The resonance frequency and amplitude are recorded. Further analysis can be performed to study damping (vibration attenuation rate) and other behaviors.
