The transformer dielectric loss tester is an instrument used to measure the dielectric loss factor (tan δ) and capacitance of the transformer insulation system. It can evaluate the performance of the transformer based on these data and detect whether it has problems such as aging, moisture or insulation defects.

High-precision Measurement
For tanδ measurement, the transformer dielectric loss tester has an accuracy of ±1.5%, while the capacitance measurement accuracy is ±1.5%. Compared with the common products on the market with a tanδ measurement accuracy of ±2% and a capacitance measurement accuracy of ±2%~3%, this tester has an accuracy improvement of about 25%, and can more accurately capture small changes in dielectric loss.
Wide Measurement Range
The transformer dielectric loss tester has a tanδ measurement range from 0.01% to 100%, while the capacitance measurement range can reach 3PF to 60000PF (at 10kV) or 30000PF (at 5kV) at different voltage levels. Usually other products have a capacitance measurement range of only 10PF to 10000PF. This means that using one of our devices can meet the test requirements of transformers with different capacitance values.
Multi-level High-voltage Output
The transformer dielectric loss tester is equipped with a high-voltage output capability from 0.5kV to 10kV, with a step of 500V, and a total of 20 voltage levels. In comparison, general products on the market can only provide 10-15 voltage levels. Multi-level high-voltage output allows testers to more accurately select the most appropriate test voltage according to the rated voltage and test requirements of different transformers.
