TTR Tester

TTR Tester

The UHV-332 3 phase Transformer Turns Ratio Tester is fully based on the user's on-site use requirements, with the characteristics of easy operation, complete functions, stable and reliable data.

Product Introduction

The TTR tester is an instrument specifically used to measure the turns ratio of a transformer. It evaluates transformer performance by applying a low-voltage AC signal (such as 7 V or 80 V) to the transformer winding and measuring the ratio between the input and output voltages to calculate the turns ratio.

Product features

Wide Measurement Range

Common TTR testers on the market have a measurement range of 1–2000, while our TTR tester offers a range of 1–10,000. This makes it suitable for both small distribution transformers (10 kV and below) and large power transformers (500 kV and above). Testing can be completed without changing equipment, reducing commissioning time and improving testing efficiency.

High Measurement Accuracy

In transformer testing, measurement errors may lead to incorrect conclusions. Most TTR testers on the market have an accuracy of 0.5%–1%, which means that when the transformer ratio is 1000:1, the error may reach 5 to 10. In contrast, our TTR tester achieves an accuracy of 0.1% within the range below 3000, with an error of only 1, significantly reducing the risk of misjudgment and preventing unnecessary repairs or continued operation under fault conditions.

High Angular Resolution

Transformer windings may experience very small phase angle shifts due to thermal expansion or short-circuit events during long-term operation. Traditional testers with a resolution of 0.1° may not detect phase changes below this level, whereas our TTR tester provides a resolution of 0.01°, enabling detection of subtle phase shifts and early identification of potential winding faults.

Application Areas of TTR Tester

1, Transformer manufacturing and production
Quality control: In the production process of semi-finished and finished transformers, transformer ratio testers are used to accurately measure the transformer ratio to ensure that it meets design requirements. This helps identify and correct potential issues during the manufacturing phase, improving product quality.
Efficiency improvement: By using a transformer ratio tester, manufacturers can save a lot of time and labor costs, and improve production efficiency. Because the tester can automatically complete the testing process and provide accurate results quickly, it reduces the time for manual operation and judgment.
2, Power system
Power testing: In the power system, transformer ratio testers are widely used in power testing. By conducting a transformer ratio test, the normal operation of the transformer can be ensured, avoiding power accidents caused by incorrect transformer ratios.
Equipment maintenance: Transformers in the power system require regular maintenance and repair. Transformer ratio testers can help staff detect the transformer ratio in a timely manner, identify potential problems, and take appropriate measures to ensure the stable operation of the power system.
3, Other industries
Railway system: In the railway system, transformer ratio testers are used to test railway electrification equipment to ensure its normal operation and safety.
Petrochemical industry: In the petrochemical industry, transformer ratio testers are used to test petrochemical equipment, ensuring the normal operation and production safety of the equipment.
New energy industry: In the new energy industry, such as wind power generation, solar power generation, etc., transformer ratio testers are used to test new energy equipment, ensuring the normal operation of the equipment and the stability of energy supply.
