1. Safety first, electrical grounding: Before testing, it is necessary to confirm that the high and low voltage sides of the transformer have been completely powered off, and to install electrical and suspended grounding wires to ensure safe operation.

Accurate wiring and polarity verification: Strictly follow the instrument identification and transformer connection group wiring to ensure that the high and low voltage side leads correspond correctly and are firmly connected. Special attention should be paid to polarity or group settings. Incorrect wiring may result in invalid results or even damage to the equipment.

3. Parameter preset, consistent gear: Before testing, accurately input the rated high voltage, rated low voltage, and connection group on the transformer nameplate in the instrument. The basis for comparability of results is to ensure that the tap gear set by the instrument is completely consistent with the actual gear of the transformer.

4. Check isolation to ensure independence: Confirm that the transformer winding leads have been reliably disconnected from other electrical equipment (such as circuit breakers, lightning arresters) to ensure the independence of the measurement circuit and prevent parallel branches from affecting measurement accuracy.
