Product introduction
A Variable Frequency Series Resonant AC Withstand Voltage Test System (also known as a Frequency-Tuned Series Resonant Test System or VFSR) is critical equipment in the power industry used for performing power-frequency AC withstand voltage tests on large-capacity, high-voltage electrical equipment such as power cables, GIS, transformers, generators, switchgear, etc.
The Variable Frequency Resonant Test Set ingeniously utilizes the principle of LC series resonance to overcome the drawbacks of traditional power-frequency withstand voltage test equipment (power-frequency test transformers), such as excessive bulkiness and extremely high capacity requirements when testing large capacitive loads.

Main Advantages
1.Compact Size and Light Weight: The power source only needs to supply the active power required for resonance (overcoming circuit resistive losses) and the excitation voltage (Uin). Its required capacity is only about 1/Q of the EUT's reactive capacity. Compared to traditional test transformers needing to supply the full reactive power, the equipment size and weight are drastically reduced, making it highly suitable for field testing.
2.High-Quality Test Voltage Waveform: Outputs a near-pure sinusoidal waveform, complying with standard requirements.
3.High Safety:
If the EUT breaks down, the resonance condition collapses, automatically limiting the short-circuit current (to just the excitation current), preventing damaging high fault currents.
Sensitive and reliable overvoltage protection.
4.Large Test Capacity: Theoretically, capacity can be scaled up by adding reactors or increasing the Q-factor to meet the requirements of larger capacitance, higher voltage EUTs.
5.High Test Accuracy: The voltage divider directly measures the high-voltage side, ensuring high precision.
6.High Degree of Automation: Automatic frequency sweep/resonance finding, automatic voltage ramp-up, automatic timing, automatic protection, data logging.
