The UHV-109 CT PT Polarity Tester is a multifunctional, intelligent, and portable device designed for comprehensive testing of current transformers (CTs) and voltage transformers (PTs). It combines three critical tests-volt-ampere characteristics (evaluating excitation performance and error limits), ratio (verifying transformation accuracy), and polarity (confirming winding phase relationships)-into a single system. With high-precision measurements, automated operation, and report generation capabilities, this instrument streamlines field and laboratory testing while ensuring metering precision and relay protection reliability in power systems.

Battery Maintenance   

1.Charge/Discharge Management:

Use the original charger for charging.

Avoid storing the instrument with a completely depleted battery for extended periods (weeks/months). For long-term storage, perform a full charge-discharge cycle every 2-3 months (charge fully, use until low battery warning, recharge fully) to maintain battery health.

Avoid charging in extremely high or low temperatures.

2.Storage Charge Level: Before long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50%-70%.

3.Replacement: Contact the manufacturer or authorized service center for original battery replacement when battery runtime significantly degrades (e.g., less than 70% of original) or if noticeable swelling occurs. Never use non-standard batteries.

Calibration and Performance Verification 

 

1.Regular Calibration:

This is the core maintenance task for ensuring accurate and reliable test data! Must be performed strictly according to national metrology regulations, industry standards (e.g., relevant JJG regulations), or the instrument manual's specified interval (typically 1 year) by an accredited metrology institution for mandatory verification/calibration.

Safely store the calibration certificate and affix a calibration status label (e.g., pass sticker) to the instrument.

2.Interim Verification:

Between formal calibrations, use known-good standard mutual inductors or the instrument's self-test function (if available) for basic performance checks (e.g., ratio, basic accuracy). Send for calibration promptly if issues are found.

3.Software Updates: Monitor the manufacturer's firmware/software releases. Update promptly under the manufacturer's guidance to fix potential issues or enhance functionality/performance.
