A relay protection tester is a device specifically used to test relay protection devices. The device can provide test signals such as AC voltage, AC current, DC voltage, and DC current to simulate various operating conditions in actual power grids. At the same time, it will also monitor parameters such as the start-up time, return time, and action value of the protection device to ensure that its response meets the set requirements.

High-precision Measurement

The AC current output accuracy of the relay protection tester is 0.1 level, and the voltage output accuracy is 0.1 level. In comparison, the output accuracy of general testers is only 0.2-0.5 level. The smaller the accuracy level number, the smaller the error. The action threshold of overcurrent protection is often at the milliampere or millivolt level. If the error of the tester is too large, it will cause the relay protection to misjudge. Our high-precision tester can verify the relay protection setting more accurately and reduce the error adjustment caused by the error of the test equipment.

 

High Output Power
The output power of the relay protection tester is very strong. The maximum output power of single-phase AC current can reach 450VA, and 1000VA when six phases are connected in parallel; the AC/DC voltage output power can reach 70VA/140VA. Some relay protection devices require a higher voltage to trigger the action. Ordinary testers (power 200-300VA) may not provide enough test current, but our high-power testers can directly drive high-load relay protection devices to ensure smooth testing.

 

Wide Frequency Range
The frequency output range of the relay protection tester is 0-1000Hz, covering the power frequency 50Hz/60Hz and harmonic frequencies. This range is much wider than that of standard testers (usually 40-400Hz). Such a wide frequency range allows this instrument to not only perform conventional power frequency tests, but also simulate various harmonic interferences and even low-frequency oscillation tests.
